Barry is a graduate of North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Architecture in 1961. He was registered in North Carolina in 1964. Barry has been active with the Eastern Section of the American Institute of Architects, serving as an officer and on their board of directors. Barry is a member of the NCEFPI and the focus of his work has been in K-12 educational building design.
